Progressive Muscle Relaxation is a technique used to reduce muscle tension, lower stress levels, and relaxation by concentrating on particular muscle groups in your body. Either laying down or sitting, focus on your breathing until you can begin to relax. Shift the attention to your body by tensing your body muscles as hard as you can for five seconds and relax, then move to the next body part. Start with your toes, then on to your feet, legs, hip, abdomen, arms, hands, shoulders, finally, your facial muscles. Start to move your body slowly.
