Materials –
6 cups
Water
Food coloring (3 different colors – red, blue, and yellow)
Paper towel
Pour water in three of the cups and alternate them by three empty cups, add a few drops of the food coloring to the cups that have water in them. Fold a paper towels and place them in between each cup. The water will travel from the cups with water to the empty cups blending the colors and making a beautiful rainbow. The experiment took approximately 3 hours.
This is the set up. Six cups, three with the colored water alternated by three empty ones. The paper towel needs to be placed amongst the cups.
