Art made out of crayons

Materials-

Broken crayons

Hair blow drier

Paper

Painter’s tape

Got broken crayons that are difficult to be used? How about making a different kind of art with them?

Have the child set the crayons in a sheet of paper and place painter’s tape on top of them so they can stay locked in place during the activity. Lastly, both adult and child set the blow dryer over the crayons and watched them melt with the heat while the beautiful art comes alive. I held on to the drier with my son (2.5 years) during the entire time making sure he was not going to burn himself. Wait a few minutes for the crayons to solidify again then the tapes are ready to be removed and you can display the art.
