DIY Shrinky Dinks

Art done before going into the oven
Shrinky dinks completed after going into the oven

Have you ever made this fun activity???? I have done it before but with a kit that was purchased until I found out that we can easily make them with reusable materials! The materials used were plastic box used by restaurants and sharpie pens or acrylic paint pens. Let the kids make their art on the box, cut the area desired, put them on a baking sheet with parchment paper, and heat it in the oven for 10 minutes on 300 degrees Fahrenheit. I love this idea because this is a nice way to save some of the kids art work. I made holes in them with a hole puncher before heating them up. I will definitely make it again when my children start writing their names to save their first scribbles…
