Provide the child with several hangers (of any size) and an area that he can pile them. I set a broom stick between a crib and a tall toy so my son (35 months) could pile the hangers and begin understanding how to balance objects. This STEAM activity allows the child to learn by themselves about the mathematics of pilling/balancing objects while working on their fine motor skills.
