Make a mark on the inside of the box and cut a rectangle out (measuring of your choice, large enough for the cars to pass through) on both sides of the box. Make a path for the car inside the box with popsicle sticks and hot glue gun (photo 1). Decorate the car wash with markers or paint.

Photo 1 – How to set the popsicles as a path for the car

Measure the roll and cut it to a size that will be slightly bigger that the side of the show box. Wrap the rolls into the papers that will be used to make the large brushes of the car wash. Insert the roll inside the box and trace it out then cut it with to allow the roll to be inside the box. Fold your colored paper into the size of the height of the box then cut it out those pieces of paper to make the brusher. I used 4 pieces of those papers for each brush. From these cut out eight pieces papers, measure them to the roll (inside the box) and cut their sides making sure they will be smaller than the box and later make vertical cuts through half way of the height of the paper (please refer to the picture attached – photo 2). Remove the rolls from the box, fold the end of the colored paper (the end that does not have the vertical cuts) and attach them to the rolls with tape (this step can be seen on a video.) Repeat this step leaving a little space between the papers. Return the rolls to the box and cut the ends of the “brush) if necessary. Lastly stick two popsicle sticks to each end of the roll with a hot glue gun to make it easier for the child to move the brushes.
