It is no surprise that my son absolutely adores fire fighters and everything about them! He has a few firetrucks and that gave me the idea of repurposing a cardboard box and turning it into a fire station. This was actually an easy task that has resulted in a lot of imaginative play time.
Place the firetruck in front of the box and make a loose mark on the sides of the truck leaving a little space between the mark and truck. Trace the mark until almost the top of the box leaving a few inches for the door to open in the front. Paint the box in the color red and the doors paint them in gray or black. To cut the doors I decided them in an U shape as shown in the picture. Lastly, fold the door up creating a mark on the cardboard so it can always be folded in the same place.
