Materials – 

8 popsicle sticks 

4 rubber bands
1 top of a plastic bottle

Hot glue gun

Align six popsicle sticks horizontally and tie them together with two rubber bands on both ends of it. Add two sticks vertically (one on the top and one on the bottom) in the middle of other sticks, criss cross a rubber band in the middle of all of the sticks forming a cross shape with them. Add the last rubber band on one end of the outer sticks, as can be seen on the pictures. Lastly, place the top of a plastic bottle to the end of the stick that does not have a rubber band. The catapult will work with different small objects, we used ice due to a strong heat wave we have been having. This was a fun way to water the grass.

PS: I left a small space between the plastic cap and the edge of the stick so the finger can push the catapult down easily.
