Outline a round shape to the construction paper and cut the circle out. Make a cut through half of the circle, make a cone shape out of it, and glue it together with the tape.

Body of the rocket ship

Have the child paint the paper towel roll and cut it to the size you would prefer. Make four cuts on the bottom of it to insert the fins. Use the hot glue gun to settle the top of the rocket its body.

Fins

Make a circular cut on a construction paper and cut it in half. (ON ONLY ONE OF THE SEMI-CIRCLES) Make a cut from the horizontal part of the it to the top of it leaving a small part on the top without being cut. Position the semi-circle with the cut onto the rocket first then position the second in a perpendicular way as shown in the video.

Making a space for the rocket

Materials –

Medium to large cardboard box

Blake paint

Paint brush

Colorful playdough

Hot glue gun

Utility Knife

Glitter

Star stickers to lit in the dark

Cut the box to your preference. I cut three sides on top of the box and the front of it. Paint the inside of the box and the top if you decide to leave the top on. I made the planets by mixing colorful playdough, rolling it to make it even and thin, then cut it again with a round object. Let the playdough dry for about a day or put it in the oven on 200 degrees for 20 minutes. Once the playdough has cooled down glue it to the box with a hot glue gun. I added star stickers that lit in the dark because I had them handy.
