Have you ever seen this experiment of coloring the bottom of the drawing and have it coming to life under water on 2 paper towel sheets? I love it and decided to extend the play into an activity and nothing calls more the attention of my son which extends to my daughter than firefighters!!!! 

Draw and color the bottom picture then make the outline of the top picture and lay them on a shallow surface with water and watch the drawing come to life. 

Make some fires that can come to life and spread them in areas that can be wet, give the child water spray can so they can have fun making their fires come to life as they have a wet fine motor skill experience.
